Darryl and Janine are native South Africans. They were married as new Christians in 1983 and raised 4 awesome children and added 2 sons-in-love: Deanne [and Ben], Dustene [and Jarrod], Joshua, and Jodhi.
Darryl received an agricultural diploma from Cedera Agricultural College after serving his mandatory 2 years in the South African military, while Janine received her Teaching Diploma from Pietermaritzburg Teacher Training College. They went on and studied at Elyon, a ministry school in Nelspruit, South Africa from 1987-1990. From there they moved as missionaries to Zimbabwe for 8 years, and then they moved their family to the USA where Darryl pastored Living Hope Church on Cape Cod, MA for 7 years.
In 2006, the Mather-Pike family returned to South Africa as the National Directors of Emoyeni. They began ministering to communities in and around eManzana. Darryl also Pastor’s Grace Vineyard Church, leads a pastor’s training program in the community, and manages the Emoyeni macadamia farm. Janine runs the children’s programs for Emoyeni with great passion. Both he and Janine have a passion for discipling people and raising up local leaders to carry the truth and love of Christ to the community of eManzana.
BEN & DEANNE

Volunteers, interns & hospitality
Ben and Deanne joined Emoyeni in 2014 to create, launch and lead an internship program. They moved from Boone, North Carolina to eManzana, South Africa in 2015. They pioneered the ACTS Discipleship Program with 6 interns from America. Ben and De have a heart for discipling the next generation for the nations and developing Kingdom culture in everyday life.
They are building a prophetic art ministry, Art of the Covenant, to reveal people’s innate creativity and learn how to encourage the world with it. They helped start the Appalachian School of Ministry and Missions in Boone, NC.
Deanne was born in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, spent her childhood in Zimbabwe, and teen years in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Deanne studied and interned at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City and Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry in Redding, California. Ben was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Boone, NC where he received a BFA in Studio Art from Appalachian State University and managed the Smith Gallery. They met on a mission trip in South Africa in 2012 and were married in Boone in 2013. They have a daughter in Heaven, Zhela Zion.
